Most of us first came to know of Aimi as the seiyuu of Bandori’s main character Kasumi, and being at the front and center of the franchise. But doing some research into Aimi’s history, I found that the real-life story of Aimi chasing her dream could even be more inspirational than Kasumi’s.
Do you know that Aimi’s original dream was to be an anisong singer? Last month, Apr 2021, she revived that dream and released a new single after a long hiatus. This is the story of how singing has always been Aimi’s greatest passion since her schooling days, as well as how she arrived at arguably her biggest project of her life, Bandori.
Let’s go all the way back to 12 years ago when she first started shooting for her singing dream. The sparkle in her eyes when she’s on the stage is unmistakeable. The girl has a dream and won’t stop till she gets there.
